Royal Canadian Legion 100th Anniversary Community Parade
2026 marks the 100th anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion. The Legion has played a crucial role in helping soldiers within their own communities across Canada. Manotick is hosting an incredibly important event to dedicate our Cenotaph to the 17 fallen soldiers from both World War One and World War Two. We will honour our fallen and all fallen soldiers from across Canada with a parade of over 100 musicians from across Ontario.
Please help us remember all who served and all who never came home.

Welcome Open House
Our celebration will start on Friday evening with an Open House with wine and cheese to welcome the community and demonstrate the important role of the legion in communities across the country.
Pipes and Drums Tribute and Cenotaph Dedication
On Saturday Morning our celebration continues with our Pipes and Drums Tribute featuring over 100 musicians from The Sons of Scotland(opens in new tab)Â and others from across the province starting at 10:30am. First the musicians will parade from the Manotick Arena past the Manotick Legion and on to the cenotaph. We encourage the community to follow the parade to the Cenotaph after it passes by to help honour the 17 members of our community who gave their lives in service during First World War and Second World War. This includes the dedication of the Manotick Cenotaph and an unveiling of plaques with the names of our lost soldiers, generously donated by Capital Memorial(opens in new tab).
BBQ Lunch
The public will be welcomed to join the musicians and Legion member in our Centenary Tent for a Community BBQ, where food and drink will be available for purchase.
Formal Dinner
Later, a Formal Dinner will be held in the Centenary Tent. Join us for a beautiful formal prime rib dinner at the Centenary Tent hosted by the Manotick Legion. We have a limited number of tickets available for the formal dinner. Please use the link below to purchase your tickets. Limit 4 per order. Tickets are $150 each. Parade Route
Join us for the Legion Centenary Pipes and Drums Tribute and Parade. We will be hononuring the fallen World War 1 and 2 soldiers from Manotick. The tribute and parade will culminate at the Manotick Cenotaph where the dedication ceremony will begin. Following the ceremony, the musicians and community will parade to the Centenary Tent our BBQ lunch.
